October is perfect for travelling to Taiwan. The temp stays around 25C and the local holiday makers are gone. A week was just enough to circle the island on a motorcycle and to visit a few popular attractions. I rented an old but still in good shape Yamaha SR150 which turned out to be perfect for the mountain roads in Taiwan. It was cheap too.
