INTRODUCTION

The Philippines is a great place to visit, mostly due to great diving sites and beaches. It is also a great place to motorbike!

I did three short trips on the motorbike there: Palawan Island (February 2013), Bohol (October 2013), and Cebu and Negros (July 2016).

PALAWAN ISLAND FEBRUARY 2013

Motorcycle: Honda XR250, rental. Total length: 550km. 4 days on the road.

A fun trip to Palawan, the Philippines. Gregg, his 3 buddies from Hong Kong and I. I stayed 4 days, they – 7. On the first day we took the bikes and then rode about 150 km to Roxas. Stayed there. On the second day we reached El Nido. After searching hard, we finally found a simple place with a bucket instead of a shower. Everything else was booked! Day 3: scuba diving (Jason and I). Really poor visibility but still it was fun. On the fourth day I travelled all the way back to Puerto Princesa (270km), returned the bike and flew home while the guys stayed for 3 days more.

Bike rented from MB’s Garden in Mactan, Cebu. An excellent choice for the Philippines roads.
